Network is such a buzz word right now, but it's so true. The more connections you make, the more successful your business will be. You have to put yourself out there, that is, in fact, a large part of being a business owner.
Here are some networking ideas:
- Join a local gym (woman owned is even better) and connect with the owner, and make friends!
- Offer realtors a discount on gift cards. They are often looking for gifts to give their clients
- If you're a mom, connect with other moms in the area. It could be a FB group, a weekly meeting group, walking group, etc.
- Reach out and connect with other small businesses in the area
Post content that is both attractive and engaging. Show your space, your skills, and your face! When posting content you are creating a narrative for your followers. You want to entice and lure them into your space. You might not think a particular idea is post-worthy, but put yourself in the shoes of the consumer, the potential client.
Ask for reviews and referrals
I have found the best business is generally by word of mouth. Don't forget to ask your clients for referrals, and feel free to incentivize it.
Reviews are also very important, so remember to ask for them. Potential customers love to read and see what others are saying. Don't be afraid! I've found that if clients love your services, they want to help!
