Sure, we may be doing the same services day in and day out, but there is still so much variety in that. Whether you’re giving a facial based on the clients skincare needs, or mapping brows, everyday is different!
ABILITY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
The ability to make a real impact on someone’s life is likely the most rewarding part of being an esthetician. We change lives every day.
MAKE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE
This applies to solo Estheticians, but our favorite part is the ability to make our own schedule. For those with families, and young children, this is especially wonderful. The ability to have a life that isn’t effected by the constraints of a 9-5 is a real perk!
FREE CREATIVE REIGN
Being a solo esthetician means we have full reign over everything. Although this can also be seen as curse, it truly is a blessing for those who want to work on their own terms.
Creating our own spaces, developing our own voice through branding and marketing, not to mention creating our own service menu! The freedom to freely create is so damn satisfying!
ABILITY TO NICHE DOWN
Being solo allows us to focus on the services we’re truly passionate about. Not into waxing? No problem! Want to focus on lashes? Go for it! Niching down can be a great way to make a mark and be viewed as a specialist.
ANSWER TO NO ONE
Well, kind of. We still have to answer to our clients, who in a way are our actual bosses. However, the ability to set our boundaries is very rewarding.
